As the largest English-speaking Island in the western Caribbean, Jamaica's borders are now fully open and tourism to this beautiful country is thriving after a very difficult 2020-21 season. Like most locations around the world, Jamaica has been impacted by the COVID19 pandemic. Proof of a negative COVID19 test (regardless of vaccination status) is no longer required before entering the country.
The local government has also put protocols in place to support the continued health and well-being of its residents and tourists. COVID19 protocols are adjusted in response to shifts in local infection rates. This includes encouraging residents to get vaccinated, masking and regular cleaning/disinfecting of spaces used by the public and regular washing of hands.
Properties used for Best Life Retreat events are regularly cleaned and disinfected by staff trained in COVID19 protocols. Our team adheres to local COVID19 guidelines for businesses while hosting retreats in Jamaica as well as the local government enforcement measures which may change in accordance with local infection rates.
Best Life Retreat staff have been fully vaccinated and/or receive regular COVID19 PCR tests. Staff also receive temperature checks upon entry to the retreat site each day and are also required to mask while working on-site.
Best Life Retreat guests and instructors are required to either be fully vaccinated against COVID19 or to have received a negative COVID19 test within 48 hours of arrival to Jamaica. Guests are encouraged to mask while in public areas outside retreat site, but masking is no longer mandated in Jamaica.
As part of the on-site retreat sign-in process, retreat participants will be required to have temperature taken. Additionally, before the start of each day of on-site programming, retreat participants and staff are required to receive a temperature check.
